Blogs, Apps, and websites, oh my!

If you haven’t found it yet, the Catholic Media Promotion Day 2011 master list is available here.  If you have ever felt alone or lost in the Catholic world, have no fear: there is a Twitter feed/blog/website/niche for you!

So go ahead, wander around, make new friends, find more Catholics!  And learn some things.

And while you’re at it, we finally started our Facebook page up in time for Catholic Media Promotion day, but no one “likes” us.  :(  So please join us on Facebook so that we can have a brighter day.  It’s the charitable thing to do.

Catholic Media Promotion Day

The brain child of Greg Willits, Catholic Media Promotion Day seeks to spread the good word about all the Catholic content that is available on the web.

Here at Mobile Catholics we hate to play favorites, but we love to play along. Without further ado:

THREE FAVORITE BLOGS:

6 Stone Jars: for issues dealing with love, relationships, marriage, vocations, and online dating.
Catholic Tech Tips: for great blogs to follow, technology in Catholic life, and “Favorite Five Friday,” this blog is in my google reader.
Image Freedom Blog: Does this count? Lots of posts from @CatholicDan for practical, nerdy tech people such as I.

THREE PODCASTS:

The Catholic Guy Show
The Catholics Next Door
6stonejars (on the Son Rise Morning Show)

THREE OTHER MEDIA:
Fulton Sheen Audio Library: Love, love, love this app, especially for holy seasons like Lent.
MP3 Saints: Ditto as the above.
The Catholic Game: basically, I had to give this app up for Lent.

THREE RANDOM CATHOLIC THINGS ONLINE:
The #cathmedia hashtag on Twitter.
@FrFrankPavone’s Twitter page
Catholic Vote

March 15 is about to change forever.

If you haven’t already heard about Catholic Media Day, please jump aboard. There is so much great Catholic content out there, and all we need is some better publicity to make it available to all!

Make sure you “like” their Facebook page today -they are trying to hit 1,000 followers. And if you have a blog, an app, a podcast, a Twitter feed, or any other form of Catholic media, make sure to join us on March 15 for Catholic Media Day.

About.com Catholic Reader’s Choice

Until March 8, voting is open for About.com’s Catholic Reader’s Choice awards. Strangely enough, yours truly is not in the running.

Seriously though, many of your favorite Catholics blogs, websites, and apps are on this list and you should go vote for them. The favorite iPhone apps is also worth taking a look at just to get some new apps, if you’re missing any of these.

Check it out and vote for your favorites, because everyone likes bragging rights.
