Windows 7 phone

Microsoft has now opened its doors to developers.  This means any developer willing to pay the fee could develop apps for the new Windows 7 phone.   Droid by far has the least inexpensive license for developers.  This is obviously a double-edged sword; there’s a reason the Apple applications are so beautiful and well built.

Rumor has it that Tuesday could bring the release of an iPhone by Verizon.  What could this mean for Catholic apps?  Technology is always changing, and the competitive market can only translate to more and better apps being built.

As for me, I’d just be happy to be able to have Catholic Mass Times on my phone.  I’m sure the Lord appreciates me habitually being thirty minutes early for Sunday Mass whenever I’m visiting family (you’d think I’d have learned by now that the local Mass is 9:30 a.m. but you’d be wrong) but I would  love this application.

Maybe Santa will bring me an iPod touch.
